The traditional Comanche diet was heavy on protein but with the Reservation Era came food rations, such as flour, sugar and lard. This was when Fry Bread came into our picture. It's definitely not the healthiest of things to eat but it sure tastes good! Fry Bread is not an everyday food that you'll find on today's Comanche tables but a lot of times it's served with a bowl of pinto beans, corn soup or as an Indian taco.
